2008-2009 School Year

Change is good? Maybe so, but it sure is going to be difficult to adjust to these changes. I don't know what to expect, so I guess we, all the staff on campus, will find out once we get started.

Changes occur every year, but what a change it has been this year. My athletic coordinator accepts an assistant principal position at the high school, and we get a new assistant principal (AP), along with a new head principal, and at least three new coaches added to our staff. Other former coaches, that I coached along side with, also took an assistant principal job at the high school and the other one signed up for an AP position at the Freshman school.

I'll tell you this, it's not going to be the same. After all, these changes might be for the better. Also, this year I will only teach one content area (Spanish), I will have my own classroom, and I will continue to coach, and possibly other teams, which is common. We'll see what happens, only time will tell. In this program it comes down to shuffling possitions and with different schools sometimes.

New year is uncertain, yesterday is gone, but today is here and I have to get to work.

Summer 2008

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, it did. How was I suppose to top last Summer's adventure. The Summer of 2008 is not over yet, but what a summer it has been. This has to be in fact one of the best summers ever, it is up there for sure with the all time greats and probably at the very top. It started with the Los Angeles Lakers making it to the NBA Championship round, then making a trip to El Paso myself and from there to L.A., extending my stay in California, which was well worth it, then returning to El Paso, TX at my sisters' house and extending my stay there. Call it an adventure; I still have several days remaining before the yearly Midland High School Bulldog
Football Camp followed by Coaching School in San Antonio, TX because the first day of school isn't until over a month from now.

L.A. how you get so fly???!!!

Songs of the Summer:
Baby Boy - Ya no lloress
Flex - Baby te quiero
Frankie J - When you look me in the eyes.

Movies:

Hancock
Dark Knight
_________
In the meantime, I'm stuck in El Paso. lol. I can go back to Midland any day now, which is about a 4hr. drive, but I'm hanging around to spend time with other relatives. It's cool, there's plenty of me to go around. Situation at home, who knows? I'll get there when I get there, but I do have to do a little clean things up over there, so I'll just have to wait and see if I get some cooperation from those individuals, but I don't want to worry about that yet.

Unbelievable, is the only thing I can say right now. You can bet that I definitely try to make additional trips to the West Coast throughout the year. We'll see how it goes, so stay tuned.

Peace and Love y'all. See you soon, keep in touch. Take care and God bless.
